Gardaí Say Efforts To Clamp Down On Joyriding In The City Are Proving Successful

Operation Joyride was formed in response to the high number of cars and motorcycles being stolen and burned out in the city

It is reported up to 450 vehicles have been stolen by joyriders in the last two years.

Video footage posted to social media sites and information obtained from seized phones has also been instrumental in curbing the practise.
