Gardaí In Cork Says Drug Driving Laws Will Not Be Implemented Until Proper Training Takes Place
The GRA say they will not be implementing the new drug driving laws until they have been trained how to do so.
The Garda Representative Association says they have received no information on how to properly carry out new mandatory roadside drug testing.
The GRA say they have not been given any guidelines on how to implement the new legislation that became law yesterday.
Drug detecting devices that can identify the presence of cannabis, cocaine or heroin have not been issued to GRA members in the Cork area as of yet.
Speaking to RedFM News Cork GRA representative Ian Lester says their members cannot implement the new law until they have been given the correct training:
