Gardai to review domestic violence figures

The Garda Commissioner has admitted the force is reviewing domestic violence statistics.

Norin O'Sullivan has been responding to questions from the Oireachtas Justice Committee in the wake of the breath test scandal.

In her written reply she says the miscalculations prompted checks into how Gardaí manage their data.

Specifically a working group has been set up to examine their homicide numbers and review how they classify domestic abuse cases.
