This year's gender pay gap works out at 14.4%
Today is equal pay day which represents the day on which woman begin working for free for the rest of the year.
If male and female salaries were spread out over a year - men would be paid for 12 months while woman would only be paid for 10.
Sonya Lennon Founder of the WorkEqual campaign and co-founder of fashion brand Lennon Courtney says the structures of how we do business isn't fit for purpose.
"Effectively women have become a significant factor in our economies, which they weren't 100 years ago.
"But the structures of how we do business is really not fit for purpose for men and women to do business equally."
