Government accused of denying adopted children the right to their identity

A Cork mother forced to give up her baby 40 years ago is accusing the government of denying adopted children the right to their identity. Under current legislation, parents and children aren't entitled to information which could help them find each other. Newly appointed Children's Minister Charlie Flanagan says the issue is a priority for his department. 'Marian' had to give up her son after giving birth in Cork at the age of 18.
