Government Examines New Ways To Provide Housing Options For Older People

It follows a more than 60% increase in the number of over 65s living in emergency accommodation over the past two years

The Government is examining new ways to provide older people who fall on hard times with more housing options.

Latest figures show 136 people of pensionable age are homeless in Ireland. 

Cork Simon says 328 adults were in emergency accommodation in Cork in July - this represents the highest monthly number of adults in emergency accommodation in Cork..
