Government ministers move to allay fears over Páirc Uí Chaoimh funding
Government Ministers have moved to allay fears that funding will not be available for the redevelopment of Páirc Uí Chaoimh. It emerged yesterday that a third of the €30 million which was due to be handed over to the GAA last year was held back over concerns that a cost-benefit analysis was lacking in clarity. However Ministers of state Sean Sherlock and Kathleen Lynch have insisted that the funding is available for the stadium revamp. The Governement has been criticised for annoucing the funding before approval of the business plan however speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Cork TD Jerry Buttimer says this is the norm especially for a project of this scale: [CLIP]
