Government Must Incentivise Use Of Electric Cars

That's according to Fianna Fáil who say the Government's climate plan doesn't go far enough.
Three years ago the Drive4Zero initiative was piloted in Cork with the city aiming to be at the forefront of the adoption of electric cars in Ireland and helping the region become greener while also creating new jobs.
The campaign encouraged people to switch to electric cars promising zero emissions, zero parking costs due to negotiated free parking for the campaign period, zero fuel costs along with special financial deals on electric cars
However three years on Fianna Fail's Environment Spokesman Timmy Dooley admitted he wouldn't drive an electric car.
But says that's down to range issues, and that many people could be incentivised to drive them:
