Government urged to tax sugary drinks

The government is being urged to clampdown on sugary drinks to reduce obesity levels in Ireland within just 2 years. The Royal College of Physicians in Ireland is calling on the Finance Minister to introduce a 20% tax on fizzy sweet drinks in the budget to help make that change. They're accusing drinks manufacturers of peddling their products to vulnerable children. Donal O'Shea is Director of the Weight Management Service at Loughlinstown hospital in Dublin.
