The Government is being warned that dementia is the next cancer across Europe.
Labour Senator Kevin Humphreys is calling on the Health Minster to come into the Seanad and discuss the needs of Alzheimer's patients and their families before next year's budget details are finalised.
Senator Humpheys says figures released by the Alzheimer's Society of Ireland show that NOT ONE county in Ireland has even a minimum level of support for people with dementia.
