GRA says members at two Cork stations may need to walk out in protest

Macroom and Glanmire stations are said to be in substandard conditions.

The Garda Representative Association says members at two Cork garda stations may need to walk out in protest at their working conditions.

Gardaí at both Macroom and Glanmire stations say they're enduring substandard working conditions with no view of their situation improving.

A site has been identified for a new garda station in Macroom where facilities have been described as unfit for purpose, however members say there's no sign of progression on the planning and construction phase.

Meanwhile conditions at Glanmire garda station have also been described as dire with a rat infestation the latest problem.
