Hazardous conditions continue from lying snow and ice

A status orange warning remains in place for Cork until midday.
Gardai are advising all motorists to take care on the roads due to the possibility of localised flooding as the snow thaws.
The city was hit with flooding this morning following high tide however the county manged to escape it.
The city is bracing for further flooding this evening when high tide returns after 7 o'clock.
Although most major roads have been cleared of snow there is a risk of black ice and widespread lying snow on secondary and rural routes.
Gardai say East and West Cork remain problematic and many minor roads are still badly affected.
Met Eireann forecaster Vincent O'Shea says it'll take a few days for the snow to clear in a number of areas.
