High rate of self-harm identified in North Cork area
North Cork has been identified as an area with one of the highest rates of self harm in Ireland. It comes as a new programme is being out nationwide to discourage suicide and instances of self-harm. The DBT programme aims to educate people about better ways of dealing with emotional pain. It comes as the Cycle Against Suicide campaign is traveling around the county to promote positive mental health.
