High-Visibility Garda Patrols And Checkpoints Resume Across The Country
The checkpoints will be on national and local roads but not motorways.
Patrols will resume at parks and public amenities, with additional Gardaí being deployed to the front line.
Deputy Garda Commissioner John Twomey says Gardaí will continue to work with the public:
"But my message, I suppose is clear to anybody who is irresponsible; we will enforce the law. We need to give out messages that are consistent and constant. And we need to continue to work with people and help people. You know this going on on some time, but we will be out there we will continue to work with people."
