Hit-And-Run Victim Identified As Gardaí Appeal For Driver To Come Forward

Gardaí are appealing for the driver of a hit and run incident in the city centre to come forward. The pedestrian was struck by a white Ford Transit van with a box body and green writing on the side at around 9.30pm on Halloween night. A number of potential witnesses have also come forward and gardaí say they have examined a number of vehicles. The victim has been named as 25-year-old Gabriel Jean Sylvian-Lege formerly of Olonne-sur-Mer in the western France. He had been living and working in Cork City for the past five years. Gardaí say they are following a number of lines of inquiry but are appealing for the driver to come forward.
