Homeless families in B&B's and Hotels face eviction for summer season

Distressed families in Cork are facing eviction from Emergency Accommodation ahead of the summer season.
That's according to Housing Charity Threshold who say families Leeside are living in the fear they will be asked to leave Hotel and B&B rooms, in order to accommodate tourist bookings.
It comes as Housing Minister Simon Coveney insisted that the Government will achieve it's July target of ending reliance on Hotels and B&B's for long term accommodation for homeless families.
However the charity says a lack of suitable housing in Cork, means more families are forced to stay in emergency accommodation for longer.
Speaking to RedFM news Threshold Regional Manager Niall Horgan says this is adding to the anxiety already felt by families;
