Hopes fade for Cork air passengers as talks continue in Aer Lingus dispute

Strike action is looming for Cork air passengers as talks between management and IMPACT members at Aer Lingus prove fruitless so far. A third day of negotiations - to resolve a roster row at the airline is taking place today however. Eleven hours of talks at Dublin Airport were held yesterday - without reaching a deal. The dispute centres on a demand from cabin crew for a new rostering arrangement - of five days on and three days off. Cabin crew staged a one-day strike last week which saw 26 flights into and out of Cork ground to a halt while flights at Dublin and Shannon airports were also massively disrupted.
