Hoteliers Leeside Say It's Becoming Increasingly Difficult To Compete With Tourism Overseas

The new 13.5% VAT rate and the cost of insurance have been cited as some of the barriers to growing Irish tourism. 

According to recent figures an extra 100,000 Irish people travelled abroad in August this year when compared to 2019.

Speaking to RedFM News General Manager of the Celtic Ross Hotel and chairman of the Irish Hotel Federation Neil Grant says it's becoming increasingly difficult for the service industry to progress and it's something the Government needs to take into account in the upcoming budget:
