Housing Minister expects final costings of Events Centre this week

The Housing Minister says he expects a final figure on the costings of the Events Centre to be submitted this week.
Concern has been expressed about the future of the highly anticipated facility after city councillors were told by BAM contractors that an extra €12 million in public funding would be needed to complete the 6,000 seat venue.
Internal design changes are being blamed for the increased cost, and it's feared new planning permission may be required for the changes that are being sought by venue operators Live Nation who say the size of the venue needs to be increased by 3,500 sq metere to make it commercially viable.
Speaking to RedFM News Housing Minister Simon Coveney says he's hopeful that further progress will be made this week:
