Housing Minister Refuses To Name And Shame Councils That Aren't Building Enough Homes

The Minister claims the entire housing system needs to be restructured to stop it from breaking again

Cork County Council is to make 570 units of social housing available under the Social Housing Capital Programme this year and over 3,000 dwellings by 2021 while the City Council  has been set a target by the Department of Housing of 2,230 homes to be delivered between now and 2021. 

Sinn Féin has warned they're going to table a 'no confidenece' motion in Minister Murphy when the Dáil returns from its summer break as the homeless figures reach almost 10-thousand.
