HSA to roll out intense inspections in Cork in 2015
The HSA has pledged to roll out an intense inspection programme in the Cork region this year after the highest numbers of work-related fatalities were recorded Leeside. Nine people lost their lives in work related accidents in Cork in 2014 - that's higher than the figures recorded in Dublin which has a higher working population. Over all a 17% increase in the number of work-related deaths was reported across the country. AUDIO: Speaking to RedFM News CEO of the HSA Martin O'Halloran says there will be a particular focus on the Cork area due to the high numbers of fatalities being recorded in recent years.
