HSE say CUH has been exceptionally busy in recent weeks
Members of the public are being advised to visit their GP first.
The HSE is urging members of the public to explore all other options available to them before arriving at the A&E Department of the CUH.
Due to the numbers presenting, the HSE say they regret that some patients have experienced delays at the Emergency Department of Cork University Hospital.
