HSE says progress has been made on restoring IT systems

However, it says levels of disruption in the week ahead are expected to be similar to those experienced last week
A new version of the decryption tool has been developed and tested, and is now being deployed across the core network.
Some hospital labs and radiology systems have been restored and are operational.
Sinn Fein's health spokesperson David Cullinane says medical professionals are fearful of litigation from patients arising out of the attack:
"I think our focus has to be on solving the problem. I know that this is a concern that many consultants and frontline staff have, they have been in contact with the state claims agency, and other state organisations to look at what protections are there for them, nobody knows what might happen in the future in terms of future litigation."
