HSE Slammed Over Ambulance Cover In Cork

Concerns have been raised over the lack of ambulance cover across Cork after a little boy died following a fall at his home in Midleton earlier this week. The Irish Examiner is reporting how the 2 year old died in hospital two days after he fell from a top storey window of his home on Bank Holiday Monday. Former Cork GAA star Kevin Hennessy, who lives nearby at the housing estate in Castleredmond, rushed to try and help the toddler. He described how he drove into his estate and saw the little boy lying on the grass with his father Speaking to Cork's RedFM Kevin says trained personnel may have been able to save the little boy if an ambulance had been available to respond to the scene.
