Hundreds of students who were turned away from a post Junior Cert party in a city centre hotel just over a month ago have been receiving refunds.

It's understood there were complications regarding the issuing of online tickets and the promoter Pineapple Entertainment came under fire as emergency services were called to deal with the excess crowd outside the hotel.
However speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show Declan O'Hara, whose son received his refund over the weekend, said the promoter (a young entrepreneur) should be commended for his handling of the situation:
