Hundreds Of Homes And Businesses In Cork Without Power Following High Winds And Lightning

Parts of Cobh, Castlelyons, Roscarbery and Ballydehob are affected by the outage.

Drivers are also being urged to use caution on the roads this morning due to spot flooding and surface water, which is causing delays on some routes. 

The traffic lights at the Dunkettle Interchange and Sarsfield road roundabout are out of action, while there are tailbacks on the N40 westbound due to a collision after the Bloomfield exit. 

A countrywide weather warning ended this morning - but there's more bad conditions expected this weekend.
