Ian Bailey to resume giving evidence at the High Court in his damages action

Ian Bailey will resume giving evidence today at his High Court action for damages against the Garda Commissioner and the State. The 57 year old claims his life has been destroyed by his allegedly wrongful arrest for the 1996 murder of French woman Sophie Toscan du Plantier in Schull. The former journalist claims members of the gardai concocted evidence against him in order to blame him for a crime he did not commit. 39 year old French film producer Sophie Toscan du Plantier's beaten body was found by neighbours close to her home in Schull in West Cork on December 23rd 1996.
