Ian Bailey's Solicitor Says His Client Has Been "Persecuted" For A Crime He Didn't Commit

High Court extradition hearing will now take place in January on the European Arrest Warrant application issued by France

Ian Bailey's solicitor believes his client will die in a French prison if he is extradited in the New Year and found guilty of the murder of a French film producer in West Cork 23 years ago

Last May he was found guilty in a French court, in his absence, for the murder of Sophie Toscan Du Plantier whose body was found on the driveway of her holiday home in Schull in December 1996

A High Court extradition hearing will now take place in January on the European Arrest Warrant application issued by France for the 62 year old
This is the third time French authorities have attempted to extradite Ian Bailey from Ireland.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM solicitor Frank Buttimer says Ian Bailey's life has been shattered as he has been persecuted over the last 23 years for a crime he didn't commit
