IFA Object To Devaluation Of Milk
The Irish Farmers Assosiation is hopeful that supermarkets notice their objections to what they call the 'devaluation' of milk.
Around 100 farmers have congregated in Portlaoise today to protest outside the Dunnes Stores and Aldi branches in town, as they are selling milk at 67 cents a litre.
They fear that other retailers will follow suit.
Speaking at the demonstration IFA President Joe Healy says they need to ensure the industry is profitable in the future.
