Incident Where Female Taxi Driver Was Spat On Is Typical Of Abusive Behaviour Taxi Drivers Are Enduring

That's according to the Cork branch of the Irish Taxi Drivers Federation who say that assaults on taxi drivers are on the rise
RedFM News has learned that drunken passengers, the taxi metering system and private cars parking in taxi ranks are among the top reasons that taxi drivers come under fire from the public in the city.
Derry Coughlan of the Cork branch of the Irish Taxi Drivers Federation outlined to RedFM News what happened recently when one of their drivers tried to gain access to a taxi rank which was blocked by a parked car:
