Increase of extreme animal cruelty in Cork

Several cases of animal cruelty were reported in Cork this week
The ISPCA have seen an increase in extreme animal cruelty in Cork.
It comes as several cases of cruelty towards dogs were reported during the week.
In one case an 11 year old sheepdog had boiling water or some form of chemical poured over his back and was stabbed three times while he was out in the back garden of his home in Cobh.
It follows two other cases of chemicals being poured over dogs in Cobh and Ballincollig.
Speaking to RedFM News ISPCA inspector Lisa O'Donovan says there is a worrying trend in cruelty cases involving young people.
