Industrial Action A Possibility For Irish Rail

Industrial action at Irish Rail could be back on the cards, after last night's collapse of talks at the WRC.

Management say they offered a 1.75 per cent pay rise, based on new productivity measures.

 

But the offer was rejected by the unions, who want a no-strings-attached increase.

 

Unions had previously threatened industrial action.

 

But Barry Kenny of Irish Rail says the row needs to be referred back to the Labour Court:
