INMO hopes people will not accept overcrowding as the norm

236 should be the maximum number of patients waiting for admission to Irish Hospitals nationwide per day.

That's according to the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation whose figures from their trolley watch report shows 380 people are waiting on a a bed at hospitals across the country.

Cork University Hospital has 31 patients receiving treatment on trolleys and the Mercy University Hospital has 14, with University Hospital Limerick the most overcrowded with 48 people in need of a bed.
