INMO members vote to accept proposals offered to resolve their industrial dispute

The Minister for Health says the new deal between the INMO and the government is good for nurses, patients and the health service.

62% of nurses have voted in favour of proposals to resolve their dispute over pay and staff shortages. 

The deal includes commitments to safe staffing levels, higher salary scales and increased allowances.

It follows three days of strike action earlier this year, which led to thousands of cancelled operations and outpatient appointments.
