INMO Say Trolley Crisis Is Putting Extreme Pressure On Hospital Staff

Cork hospitals need more beds urgently.

That's the warning from the INMO who say the current trolley crisis is putting extreme pressure on the system and staff in Cork.

The Union says the crisis has escalated further this month due to adverse weather delaying the discharge of patients, which in turn has led to significant overcrowding in the last few days.

68 people were waiting on trolleys at Cork Hospitals today, down from a figure of 80 on monday

Speaking to RedFM News, Liam Conway from the INMO says the union have asked the government to declare an emergency
