INMO slams the HSE for failing to tackle C-U-H overcrowding

The comments follow long delays at the A&E unit over the past three weeks
The Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation has accused the HSE of failing to tackle the overcrowding crisis at A&E units.
The union hit out after Cork University Hospital issued a statement on Friday urging the public to explore all options before presenting at the emergency department due to long delays at the unit.
The delays are being attributed to an increased number of patients presenting at the hospital and delayed discharges and it's hoped the situation will be resolved this week.
However
Figures from the INMO show that 307 admitted patients were on trolleys in CUH during the past month which was a record number for July.
Speaking to RedFM News, INMO's Industrial Relations Officer Michael Dineen says hospitals are still waiting on promised beds:
