IRFU warns female players not to answer "phishing" email

The Irish Rugby Football Union has fallen victim to a phishing scam.

Emails pertaining to be from the IRFU have been received by underage female players inviting them to a conference at the Aviva, to discuss future opportunities in rugby for women.

The IRFU have issued a statement to say no such event is taking place, and are warning players not to reply to the email.

They have contacted rugby clubs across the country to highlight the issue, and are asking anyone who receives this email to report it to Info@irishrugby.ie
