Irish Blood Transfusion Service Urging People To Donate Blood

The Irish Blood Transfusion Service says donating blood is one of the greatest gifts a child in hospital can receive at Christmas.

The service is calling for donations in the run up to and over the festive period which they say is usually a difficult time to maintain stock levels.

Concern has been expressed that stocks because stocks are particularly low this week there'll be an even greater shortage around Christmas.
