The results come as the €77 million extension at the Bons Secours Hospital in the city is to open meaning less expense for the families of cancer patients in Cork as they won't have to travel for treatment
Speaking to RedFM News the hospital's General Manager Harry Canning acknowledged that some cancer treatments can lead to huge costs for families:
