Irish Water says metering is the fairest way

The head of Irish Water says he hopes people will co-operate with the organisation as it starts the process of installing hundreds of thousands of water meters around the country. A small protest was held outside a city centre hotel this morning as the firm announced 400 new jobs at the Abtran call centre in Bishopstown. Irish Water will use an army of engineers to carry out the installation of meters, which is scheduled to be completed within three years.
