Italy's referendum could have the impact on the future of the Euro
The Prime Minister stated he will resign if he loses which could lead to the rise of the anti-establishment Five Star Movement which wants to take Italy out of the Euro
Italians are voting in a referendum which is being closely watched for further signs of anti-establishment sentiment in Europe.
The vote, called by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, is formally on changes to their country's constitution, but is expected to be used by many as a chance to register discontent.
Populist parties have campaigned for a No vote.
However the Prime Minister says he'll resign if he loses.
Consequently that could hand power to the opposition "Five Star Movement" who want to leave the Euro zone.
Italian journalist Cristina Marconi says the No vote is leading in the polls, but that may be misleading.
