It's believed the local economy received a boost of up to €25 million at the weekend

it comes as the first major matches were held at Pairc Ui Chaoimh

That's according to the Cork County Board who say each major game held at the stadium is worth €12.5 million to the Cork economy and concerts are believed to be worth a similar amount.

The €70 million revamped stadium hosted the All Ireland Hurling Quarter finals after two years of construction.

The County board say it was a great weekend for Cork GAA, and the county in general as up to 60,000 people attended the events.
