It's feared a budget deficit at City Hall could lead to reduced services next year

The Council say they expect the current pandemic to leave them around €9.4 million short, prompting fears that community groups and a number of projects could be severely impacted.

The Council won't lose money from commercial rates due to a €260 million government fund, however the loss of revenue from car park fees, planning applications and licensing fees is expected to result in the loss of some services unless the government intervenes.

The matter is expected to dominate Monday nights Council meeting.
