It's hoped new facility for children with disabilities in Cork will be completed by next year

A fundraising drive is on for the centre which is being built by Enable Ireland.

The new state of the art facility is on course to be completed next year if a €1.75 million shortfall can be funded.

€2 million of Government funding was awarded to the centre and the remainder has been raised by the organisation.

Speaking to RedFM News Donncha Geary of Enable Ireland says the new facility is badly needed as the current Enable Ireland Centre in Cork is not fit for purpose.
