J1 student from Cork who died tragically in the US is to be laid to rest today
22 year old Philip Leahy died several days after getting into difficulty while swimming in Ocean City, Maryland
He suffered cardiac arrest during the incident and was being treated at Atlantic General Hospital where he passed away on Sunday August 6th surrounded by his family.
The CIT student had just completed an honours degree in Business and was due to be conferred in October.
The mass will take place at 2:00pm at the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady at his hometown of Ballyhooly.
