Jake's legacy campaigner calls for meeting with Transport Minister
Roseanne Brennan has called for the Transport Minister to meet her outside the Dáil today to discuss the decision made on speed limits in housing estates. Her six year old son Jake was killed last June while playing outside their home in Kilkenny and his death inspired Roseanne to launch a campaign to limit speed in these areas. Last night Paschal Donohoe confirmed that a new 20 km/h speed limit can be introduced in residential areas but the move would be at the discretion of local authorities. Roseanne has accused the Minister of speaking in riddles and that this move is nothing more than piecemeal as she wants the speed limit to be mandatory. She has called for the meeting outside government buildings at 3.30pm. AUDIO: Speaking to Red FM News Roseanne Brennan says if the Minister is a man of his word, he will turn up.
