Joint Health Committee & HPRA meet to discuss report on medicinal cannabis

The Joint Committee on Health is due to meet with the Health Products Regulatory Authority around now to discuss its report on medicinal cannabis.
It comes as Vera Twomey is nearing the end of her 290km journey from Cork to the Dáil in protest at the government's refusal for her application for medicinal cannabis for her daughter Ava who sufferes from a rare form of epilepsy.
The Minister for Health has offered to meet the Aghabulllog woman but she says that's a waste of time unless he has the solution they need.
Speaking at Newlands Cross this morning Vera says Ava needs help immediately and the time for talking has passed:
