Kevin Spacey responds to claims of sexual harrassment
It's claimed he made unwanted sexual advances on a 14-year-old boy more than 30 years ago
The claims from Star Trek actor Anthony Rapp relate to a party in New York in 1986, when Spacey was 26.
Despite him being underage at the time, Rapp says Spacey invited him to a nightclub and made inappropriate advances.
In a statement released this afternoon, Spacey claims the encounter was down to "inappropriate drunken behaviour".
But Director of Amnesty International Ireland Colm O'Gorman has condemned his deflection away from the real issue.
