Lack of social housing in the spotlight

The issue of landlords in Cork and Dublin not accepting rent allowance is back in the news again today.. It comes after the Children’s Minister admitted that she's horrified that a woman and her three children have been forced to live in a car, because they can’t find accommodation in the capital... Yesterday Cork woman Rose O'Connor told the Neil Prendeville Show that she and her five children have been living out of one room in Edel House for the past eight weeks as she can't find a landlord that will accept rent allowance in the city..
