Fresh underwater searches have been under way since first light in Baltimore for missing local student Barry Davis Ryan.
Up to 150 volunteers are taking part in land and water searches which began at 5 o'clock this morning
Divers from all across Ireland responded to the appeal for experienced divers to assist in the search for the 20 year old student who is believed to have drowned as he attempted to save his girlfriend Niamh O'Connor who was swept into the sea by a high wave.. His father Barry Ryan also drowned in the incident..
Valencia Coastguard has confirmed to RedFM News that the water searches will continue throughout the day before weather conditions deteriorate again tonight
The search operation is focused around the Beacon while the land search is being conducted in the general area around Baltimore and Cape Clear
